Little Shop of Horrors
29th Oct to 2nd Nov 2013
(including Saturday matinee)
From the creators of hit Braodway musicals 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'The Little Mermaid', comes 'Little Shop of Horrors', a mad cap, delightfully scary and quirky joy of a musical, that's a treat for the whole family.
Geeky florist assistant Seymour, finds his chance for love and sucess via a strange and extraordinary exotic plant. Can he cater to the demands of this rapacious man-eating plant and still win the afffections of sweet bubble-headed Audrey? One of the longest running and most sucessful off-braodway shows of all time, featuring songs such as Somwhere That's Green, Downtown, Feed Me and Suddenly Seymour.
With its wonderfully geeky hero, a demented dentist, a goofy girl and a singing plant, Little Shop of Horrors was the first major sucess for multiple Academy Award-winning creative duo Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. Its a delightful, toe tapping experience which has spread its tentacles of pleasure and scariness far from its off-Braodway origins.

For those of you who don't know us . . .
TAC has been based in Tamworth, Staffordshire (UK) since 1946, and has members from the local areas. We put on two shows each year - usually West End and Broadway musicals, with an occasional Gilbert and Sullivan operetta or compilation show.
Select 'Past Shows' form the Menu on the left to see all of our previous productions.
. . . why not join Us?
We are delighted to welcome new members to audition for any show.
If your talents are more suited to helping behind the scenes we'd like to hear from you too, particularly if you can sew, paint, construct scenery or props.
Rehearsals take place each Wednesday (7.30-9:30) at St. John Ambulance Headquarters, Moor Street, Tamworth. and on Fridays (7.30-9.30) for principals (and occasionally chorus) at Central Methodist Hall, Aldergate, Tamworth.
Why not just turn up to any rehearsal and ask for a committee member or membership secretary, Michelle Johnson, or telephone our Chairman, Alan Tonks on 01827 260602
Membership subscriptions are much less than some societies, presently £30 per year and an additonal £2 per week during rehearsals for each show. There is a 50% reduction for members in full time education.
. . . or become one of out Patrons?
Alternatively, if you're happy just to support us why not become a patron?
Rising costs make it more and more difficult to put on a high quality production without increasing ticket prices, so our patrons support is valuable to us.
For £25 you will receive 2 tickets, one for each of our shows, copies of our newsletter, other benefits and the warm glow that comes from knowing how much we appreciate your help!
For more information, phone Maureen on 01827 260602, or email, or click here for details.
